Led cost-control activities across offshore construction, intervention, decommissioning and engineering scopes. Responsibilities included comprehensive forecasting, commitment and expenditure tracking, variation support, invoicing, cashflow, working capital and development of project controls procedures.

Major capital project systems & portfolio support

Tengizchevroil, Kazakhstan

Designed and deployed project controls systems, methodologies and reporting across six major capital projects and a portfolio of more than 300 small capital projects. Work included cost-system deployment, earned value, cost and work breakdown structures, finance interfaces, training and data integration.

Measured outcome: reduced commitment and expenditure processing effort by up to 98% within the small-project portfolio while materially improving data integrity and forecast quality.

Cashflow forecasting methodology

Enterprise adoption

Developed a major-project and facilities-engineering cashflow forecasting approach for effective cash management in a constrained operating environment. The method was subsequently adopted by Finance as the basis for forecasting in other functions, including Drilling, Supply Chain Management and Human Resources.

US$1 billion processing facility expansion

Karachaganak Petroleum Operating

Led project controls across owner and EPCM teams for a greenfield liquids and gas separation train with associated brownfield upgrades. Scope included integrated progress reporting, cost and schedule forecasts, cost risk, management of change, finance and strategic planning interfaces, and benchmarking.

Internal controls & contractor assurance

Finance and audit foundation

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant after beginning in external audit, then led contractor compliance audits and internal control activities in a major operating company. This financial and assurance background continues to underpin a disciplined approach to project cost, governance and evidence.

Measured outcome: contractor audits recovered more than US$6 million over a four-year period.
